My Mary Kay "I" story started shortly after the birth of my child. I was still on maternity leave and went to the Child and Baby Show in Winnipeg. I went to the Mary Kay booth, where, my now Director, applied the Satin Hands hand cream, gave me a 15% off discount card and got me to fill out a ballot for a draw. While I always intended on calling, to actually find out about the business side of things, I never got to it. I remember as a child, one of my mom's friends sold Mary Kay and provided my mom wonderful samples and products. I was just thinking - I could save money - If I joined and just supplied myself with product. One day, I did get a phone call ... I was called to receive my complimentary facial. She came and did a wonderful job. Not only did I purchase product, I also signed up! And now here I am a year and a bit later. I found that I really enjoy doing facials and parties. There is nothing more rewarding than making woman feel and look great. Plus it has offered me new found confidence, knowing that when entering the unknown, regardless of my uncertainty, it can work out and I can have fun and be successful in the process! I seems that this opportunity has led me to new little adventures and other ventures along the way. Plus when my business thrives I get awesome free stuff!! So, when every couple months I seem to want to cut back and once again only supply myself and family product I soon change my mind and have a new focus to move up. I guess no-one but God knows what his plans are for me so I will simply forge on :)
